one of the things that never occurs to you about your own wedding is that it's nearly pointless to bring your own camera, as the last thing on your mind as you're walking down the aisle, laughing-crying-laughing during your ceremony, freezing your ass off at the top of the cliffs of moher while watching your photographers lose all feeling in their hands (which, incidentally, is not a good thing for photographically inclined artists), toasting your guests with a pint of guinness (or seven), dancing the night away to the likes of rush-toto-queen-kelly clarkson-heavy d and the boyz-mj and finally stumbling home at 230 in the morning (this is a lie...we actually got a ride home in a european conversion van from the owner of the bar who hosted our reception) is taking pictures. fortunately, our friends and family were more attentive on that front, and we already have the most amazing minute by minute coverage of our wedding captured for us on facebook, with more to come from millie and the team.
we did, however, manage to capture some miscellaneous moments in the days prior to and after the event (best. wedding. ever.) including, but not limited to, moments during our first morning in doolin, preview trip to the cliffs, thursday night antics at fitzpatrick's in doolin, the friday afternoon hike/walk, valerie in "downtown" doolin (coincidentally, a picture taken in front of the same stretch of shops in the exact same fleece jacket as she wore six years ago when we first visited ireland together), our fabulous dinner in skerries the night before we left to return to beijing and of course, cows in the road. enjoy...
if we have not said it enough, let us say it once more...for all the love, humor and awesomeness that our wonderful friends and fabulous family brought to our celebration - a million thank yous.
